Local Thermostats - Local thermostats mostly control the temperature of one single circuit only. Since local thermostats are installed in the field, in close proximity of the application they eliminate the need of expensive Pt 100 field wiring. Local intelligence in the field means that a failure of the control unit affects one heating circuit only. The local thermostats have no communication link back to the supervisory software or DCS system. |
