Isopad Constant Wattage Zone Parallel

 

Constant-wattage zone parallel cables use a resistor alloy heating element wrapped around two parallel bus wires.

At fixed distances, the insulation is removed from the bus wires on alternating sides. This distance between contact points forms the heating zone length.

The parallel construction allows these cables to be cut to length on site. The unique round construction ensures high flexibility.

These constant-wattage parallel heating systems offer an economical alternative while maintaining the advantages of cut-to length cables. Because of their constant power output, circuit breaker sizes may be reduced compared to self-regulating heating systems. For line lengths of up to 200 m, for maintain temperatures of up to 200°C.

Depending on the application, they typically require more sophisticated control systems. The heating cables must not be overlapped.
