There is more to a warm, renovated floor than only the floor heating system.
Besides a quality floor heating system, a well-functioning warm floor also requires careful floor preparation and finishing. This is particularly important for renovation applications – because the sub floor can be anything.
Raychem systems have undergone severe compatibility testing at the leading building material suppliers in Europe. The result is a complete overview of which products can be used in combination with the selected Raychem floor heating system. By using these combinations and following the manufacturers recommendations for installation, you build a safe and long-lasting, warm floor. In general the following steps are required for tile floors:
Apply a primer
(optional) Level out any unevenness using self-leveling material
Install the Raychem floor heating system
(optional) Level out any unevenness using self-leveling material
(optional) Apply a water barrier
Apply a tile adhesive
Lay tiles
