A nickel-chromium alloy tubular ring, sealed at both ends and containing a carefully mixed and controlled blend of powders. Manufactured in our Washington site, these assemblies are sited on the fuel cells that sit within the heart of the UK's Advanced Gas Cooled Reactors. They help to moderate the initial energy output from fresh nuclear fuel cells and remain there for the fuels life of some 3 years.

Controls and traceability are extensive and deliver a highly repeatable process and product with exacting standards.

We have the skills in raw materials selection, process, test and inspection to manufacture a wide range of these non-standard products following our design review process.
