Tyco Thermal Controls has successfully developed & marketed a series of high temperature clearance measurement systems
which accurately and reliably monitor a wide range of clearances within the modern gas turbine engine. One of the main features of
the system is the ability of sensors to withstand tip temperatures up to 2550°F (1400°C).
The system uses our patented sensor design that can be used with either AM or FM electronics for compressor and turbine tip-clearance
measurements, rotor shaft and disc displacement.
The system uses advanced electronic processing to output real-time clearance information, and may be configured to assist with
engine health monitoring, blade vibration and rotodynamic measurements.
