Conventional Power Thermocouples

Our introduction to the power station industry was decades ago in the 1940's when we were first approached to solve problems with conventional (i.e. non mineral insulated) thermocouples failing in service. We solved that and have been providing mineral insulated thermocouples for boilers & turbines ever since. In many cases we have been involved from the construction phase of power stations by designing and supplying the original equipment to the engineering companies erecting the station around the world.

We understand the extreme requirements for these thermocouples and manufacture specialist cables in our Canadian site to suit the requirements for heavier walls and conductors. Additional testing to ensure sheath and electrical quality are conducted prior to assembly. A final rigorous testing regime including x-ray inspection in 2 planes, hot insulation Resistance & loop resistance checks and specified temperature calibration ensures that the thermocouples are fit for use in that environment.

We have a large manufacturing capacity and have for many years been the key supplier of thermocouples and process connections for the seasonal outages typically seen in conventionally fuelled power stations.

Contact us with your requirements - we may even have original drawings for your site and a request for quote the size of a phone directory will be welcomed.
