TraceCalc Pro provides design calculations such as pipe heat loss, number of circuits, electrical loads and maximum temperatures; and automated heating cable and component selection; and recommendations for control and monitoring selection, and much more. It provides easy-to-use standard reports; and last but not least, its powerful features help you obtain the best heat-tracing solution for your particular project. With TraceCalc Pro, Tyco Thermal Controls provides you with an unprecedented design tool that lets you select heat-tracing products from world-class brands such as Raychem, DigiTrace, Tracer, and Pyrotenax -- giving you an optimal heat-tracing solution. The user should be experienced with the design of heat tracing applications.
This new software replaces TraceCalc Quick and Plus; previous users should switch to TraceCalc Pro.
New Features
Upgrading is simple; just install v1.6 over any previous version. All project default settings will be saved.
- Find Option
Finding a line is made easier with the new Find form. If you click on a Line ID in the list, it is found and selected in the main form. As you begin to type a line ID in the Line ID textbox, the line list is filtered for lines beginning with that text. This feature can be accessed via the main menu option View> Find.
- Enhanced Menu Items
The Add New Line and Paste Append commands have been enhanced. If a line is selected in the treeview, you can directly add the new line as a child of the selected line. Previously, you had to first add the line as a Parent and then use drag-drop to configure the line as a child of another line. Both commands are available through the main menu option Edit.
- Change Line Types Easily
The Line Configuration screen now allows Line Type to easily be changed to Parent. This means that it is now possible to change a child line to a parent line without dragging the line to the Piping folder reducing the amount of mouse work required.
- New Summary Screen
A Summary screen has been added which displays record counts as well as some selected averages and totals. These values can be shown for the entire project or for a subset of lines. You can access this screen by clicking on the “Piping” folder in the treeview or via the View main menu item.
This program is a 30-day trial version that requires you to register to extend the program beyond this period. After you launch TraceCalc Pro, you will be prompted to register. Once you register we will send you the validation code.
If you are already a registered TraceCalc user and you just wish to upgrade, simply login using your email and password, then download and install the latest version. Your current registration and program settings will be preserved.
