How to Install

T2Red Installation Information

» Heating cable can be cut to length, spliced and crossed as needed. No risk of overheating.

» It requires no extra mesh. The cable is laid in a thin layer of filler.

» No cold lead cable required; heating cable goes straight into the junction box.

New construction
The heating cable can be laid into a fine mix concrete, or directly into the coarse cast concrete on top of the sufficiently insulated subflooring. The cable can be attached with fixing clips or on top of any reinforcing bar. The cable is typically installed 30 - 50 mm under the finished floor.

Renovation
The heating cable can be embedded in a thin layer of filler on the existing floor (wood, particle board, gypsum wallboard or concrete). It requires only a 10-20 mm cover + floor thickness.

T2Red: Key Installation Steps
Cable Installation Filler layer Tile installation Finished Floor

Attach the cable (e.g. use glue gun) on the clean floor (or on a grout mesh). Apply a layer of adhesive primer.

Carefully apply an even layer of filler on top of the cable. Let it cure according to instructions.

Spread the tile adhesive and then lay out and join the tiles. In wet areas, apply a watertight coating before the tile adhesive.

All passage areas, corners and angles are sealed with sanitary silicon. Allow the floor to cure completely before turning the floor heating system on.

Notes:
All electrical work must be performed by an authorized electrician.

In general it is to be ensured that only floor coverings which are suitable for floor heating are employed.
