Temperature measurement in the power industry has been a feature of our work since the 1930's when we developed the first mineral
insulated thermocouples for fossil-fuelled power stations. This was done to eliminate the main failure mode of the original wire/ceramic
thermocouples. In the 1950's, we developed high accuracy/low neutron absorption thermocouples for use in the first nuclear-fuelled stations.
Pyrotenax thermocouples provide a robust solution to thermal sensing in high vibration environments, and our recent development of the
UK's now obsolete GDCD16 standard & thermocouple specification shows our commitment to market innovation.
We have been providing similarly innovative solutions to many power generation partners worldwide since then.
We have considerable expertise of designing and supplying thermocouple for new power stations. Maintenance spares for outages are provided
to those same high standards.
Our core capabilities for the power industry include the manufacture of heavy duty cables, manufacture of probes,
and testing to the rigorous demands of the fossil and nuclear-fuelled stations.
