Leading manufacturers of wooden floors certify and recommend self-regulating underfloor heating systems
Underfloor Heating
self-regulating technology has proven unique advantages for wooden floors
Raychem self-regulating heating cables automatically adjust their power output to compensate for temperature changes. That makes them ideal for temperature-sensitive floors such as wood. Several leading European wooden floor manufactures have intensively tested Raychem T2Red and T2Reflecta and have certified that they are safe for use under temperature sensitive wooden floors.
Wooden floors ‘live’. They swell or shrink, depending on the atmospheric humidity and temperature. High floor temperatures or fast temperature changes can damage the floor.
The T2Red cable senses the thermal conductivity of the top floors and automatically adjusts its heat output.
The ‘gentle’ heat-up of the system also prevents damage to the wooden floor.
Carpets or furniture can be safely placed on the wooden floor without the risk of overheating.
