System 1850 SE

 System 1850 SE
System 1850-SE is a service entrance cabling system that allows service entrance conductors to be routed inside the building. It consists of the following major components:

  • Underwriters Laboratories 2 hour fire resistive mineral insulated cable

  • QuickTerm brand service entrance cable termination kits

  • NEMA Class 12B galvanized steel ventilated cable tray with louvered covers

Advantages of System 1850-SE

When running traditional service entrance conductors through the building, concrete encasement is necessary so the conductors are considered outside the building. With System 1850-SE, concrete encasement is not necessary. System 1850-SE cable has been subjected to the following testing:

  • Mechanical strength, impact and crush

  • Electrical impulse

  • Vibration

  • Fire resistance to 1850°F

  • On-site field service for consultation during the installation

  • Installation completion inspection by company certified technician
