HAZARDOUS
The presence of gases or fumes in hazardous environments requires a system to block the passage of explosive vapors.
HIGH TEMPERATURE
Conventional wiring cables are generally limited to 90°C (195°F) operating temperatures. Environments where temperatures up to 670°C (1238°F) are encountered require special cabling.
MOV
Conventional wiring methods survive for only a matter of minutes at temperatures well below those likely to be encountered in a hydrocarbon flash fire. To assure that the integrity of power and control wiring to emergency block valves is maintained during a fire, special precautions must be taken.
Continuous exposure to high temperatures can accelerate the aging characteristics of conventional wiring systems over time, often resulting in brittle insulation and premature failure of the wiring system. Pyrotenax® mineral insulated wiring cables provide the solution, as they are constructed with inorganic, inert materials which provide for greater system integrity.
