Wiring Applications for MOV Environments

 


Conventional wiring methods survive for only a matter of minutes at temperatures well below those likely to be encountered in a hydrocarbon flash fire. To assure that the integrity of power and control wiring to emergency block valves is maintained during a fire, special precautions must be taken. Pyrotenax ® cable systems offer the most reliable and least expensive method of assuring electrical function during a fire. Since plant standards are written with consideration given to the refinery and the products being produced, two different cable types are available providing varied fire and corrosion resistance.
