SC and SC/H cables provide electrical freeze protection and high temperature maintenance for long pipelines in both non hazardous and hazardous (classified) locations or and in areas exposed to corrosives or aqueous organic chemicals. SC and SC/H technology provide basic freeze protection and high-temperature maintenance for long line applications. This series-resistance type heatering cable can withstand continuous exposure to temperatures up to 482°F (250°C). SC/F technology is designed for low heat loss, freeze-protection applications only. All SC heating cables can be used for continuous circuit lengths of 1,000 up to 12,000 feet, powered from a single source.
