Limited Warranty Extension
|
For Industrial and Commercial Construction Snow Melting Products
Tyco Thermal Controls warrants Raychem ElectroMelt and Pyrotenax HDPE jacketed copper MI heating cables used in snow melting installations against faulty workmanship and use of defective materials for a period of 18 months from installation or 24 months from the date of shipment, whichever occurs first.
An extension of the limited warranty period to ten (10) years from the date of installation is available if you comply with the following.
- Submit a completed copy of the appropriate Snow Melting Project Inspection Record confirming that the installation was properly done, to Tyco Thermal Controls, Technical Support, fax # 650-474-7657.
- Ensure that for MI heating cable installations where concrete crack control joints are used, that they are clearly identified prior to heating cable installation. (A concrete crack control joint is a shallow saw cut made in the surface of the concrete after it sets to promote preferential cracking in the event of slab heaving.)
- Once all the qualifications are satisfied, Tyco Thermal ControlsTechnical Support will issue a letter of acceptance.
Failure caused by differential motion across random cracks in the concrete is excluded.
This limited warranty extension remains subject to the terms, limitations, conditions, and exclusions of Tyco Thermal Controls Limited Product Warranty for Industrial and Commercial Construction Heating Products (H57396).
